The Academy Commandant is responsible for the development, promotion, and the publishing of the Colleges of the Federation Academy training courses that are available to the IFT Membership. The Federation Academy is to assist our members in becoming more aware of The Federation and the challenging, rewarding, and valuable knowledge of The Federation, Star Trek, and Science Fiction.

Students have 12 weeks from the date of emailed or mailed course to complete the requested exam.  The enforcement of this deadline is at the College Dean’s discretion. The IFT Academy staff is committed to the ongoing enhancements of the Academy courses and the development of new courses.  For this reason, exams are only valid for three (3) months after a request.  After the three (3) months, a Student may request a new copy of the course manual and exam.

All Academy courses with course materials and certificates will be available through email free of charge and is solely offered to the IFT membership in "good standing".  If a member does not have a computer, the member's CO can contact the Federation Academy Commandant to make arrangement for that member. New courses must be submitted to The Federation Academy Commandant for approval before becoming available to the membership. In special cases, such as in the case of the Diplomatic Corps courses, approval to incorporate a course will require from the IFT Council. The Federation Academy updates will be posted on the Federation Academy web site.
