Introduction - Ayla Ahmad
Hello everyone! My name is Ayla Ahmad and I'm proud to be a new member of the USS Pioneer. I'm originally from Arizona but a year ago I moved to NYC to further my career in the music industry. Star Trek has been apart of my life since I was born; my father has been watching the series since the 60s. I love TOS, TNG, DS9, and Voyager equally as they all contribute to my identity in different ways. I credit Star Trek for my knowledge in politics, morality, diversity, ambition, and so much more.
I had the privilege of attending Star Trek Las Vegas for the 60th anniversary last week. It was truly incredible to see so many incredible cosplays, meet the actors that I've grown up with, and nerd out with my pops. The sense of community at this convention was remarkable, so I'm very much looking forward to connecting with other trekkies based in NYC and beyond. See you all soon🖖
